Background
The 13th Composites Durability Workshop (CDW-13) will be held in Singapore from 1-4 July 2008. This workshop continues the tradition of the series of CDW, which aims to provide a forum, in a small, congenial setting, to discuss recent progress, exchange new ideas and plan future efforts to improve the durability of composites. Past CDWs can be found in this website.
CDW facilitates international networking of professionals with the common goal of ensuring durable application of composites in various engineering systems.
All topics dealing with composites durability are welcome. They include, but are not limited to:
- Applications
design, manufacturing, certification, etc. - Characterization
new test methods, microstructure-property relationships, etc. - Enhancement
new materials, nanocomposites, multifunctional composites, etc. - Management
health monitoring/management, prognostics, information systems, etc. - Modeling
prediction methods, statistical approaches, multiscale modeling, etc.
Participants will be invited to a special birthday dinner in honor of Prof Stephen Tsai on the evening of 4 July 2008. The cost of this dinner is included in the registration fee.
